Living in Exmoor

Why Buy Property on Exmoor?

Exmoor really has a special identity and is very sparsely populated.

Many people appreciate the magical quality of this small National Park. with its variety of wild open landscapes and deep river valleys, the long sandy beaches to the west of the region, the glorious craggy coastline to the north and the yellow gorse and purple heather clad moorland.

In 2009 Exmoor was designated the first International Dark Sky Reserve in Europe, the skies seem bigger and the stars seem closer.

The spectacular scenery and opportunities to observe magnificent red deer and wild Exmoor ponies add to the relaxed atmosphere encouraging many people to visit Exmoor, staying in the beautiful villages or on one of the many farms offering holiday accommodation.

The Exmoor Lifestyle

Exmoor was designated a National Park in 1954 and has enjoyed the protection that this status provides since then with very few changes taking place.

This combination of no light pollution, very little noise pollution and clean fresh air encourages people from all walks of life with new and indigenous residents living harmoniously and enjoying the scenery, wildlife and slower pace of life.

There is room for more – it is not crowded.

Property Search Agents - The Benefits

Expert Buying Advice

Many clients contact us when their own searches have proven fruitless or expensive. In the South West particularly, distance is a major consideration in the property finding process, making it much harder to secure the right property.

Time & Money

Property searching can take a great deal of time, energy and money if you don’t already live in the South West.

A property search agent can help you identify the right property and location quickly, and help you make what perhaps is amongst the largest financial decisions you’ll ever make.

Local Property Finders

Buying in an unfamiliar location can be a minefield. With our local experts on your side, you’ll be armed with inside knowledge to make the best purchase choices for you and your family.

The Best Property Always Goes Fast

It’s a misconception that a generally slower property market means it’s easier to buy the right property. In fact, the best property sells fast in almost any market, and holds its value better too. We can help you make those distinctions and conduct negotations on your behalf to achieve the right price.

As buying agents, we expect to find you the very finest property matching your requirements and budget.

Skilled Price Negotiators

When you find a home you want to purchase, the negotiation stage is key.

An impartial, detached and experienced negotiator can make a significant difference to final purchase price you pay.

Off Market Property

In the current climate, where some sellers are reluctant to put their property on the Exmoor property market, it’s invaluable to use a professional who has exceptional contacts and can put you in touch with properties that are not openly advertised as being for sale.

We make it our business to be well-connected and give you access to the widest possible choice of properties.
